Executive Producer: To Be Determined
Producer/Director/Editor: John Henion
John began making documentary films while studying International Development at the
University of Cape Town. During that time, John conducted research on the effectiveness of street child rehabilitation programs in South Africa. Inspired by his thesis research, he wanted to reach a broader audience with a story that conveyed the social, emotional and institutional hurdles that prevent children from accepting help, leaving the street permanently, and the absolute need for preventative measures to be considered.
Upon returning to the U.S. John began work as a Producer with Oscar-nominated filmmaker Harvey Ovshinsky on several documentaries and corporate videos. He later founded Accidental Productions. Focusing on the documentary form, Accidental Productions recently completed a series of educational documentaries about hospice care and the end of life experience. This is John´s first feature film.
